Capabilities

WAGIN provides first responders true communications interoperability.  Any County, State, Federal or private agency operating on UHF, VHF or 800 MHz can be attached to operations channels via WAGIN.

As an example, responding units can be attached to Allegany County operations channels, which include Fire-Rescue, EMS, Law Enforcement and any other county agency on the Allegany County radio system:

Mineral County, WV VHF Frequencies Fire-EMS units responding into Allegany County can be attached to Allegany County operations channels.
Bedford County, PA UHF Frequencies Fire-EMS units responding into Allegany County can be attached to Allegany County operations channels.
Washington County, MD UHF Frequencies Fire-EMS units responding into Allegany County can be attached to Allegany County operations channels.
Garrett County, MD VHF Frequencies Fire-EMS units responding into Allegany County can be attached to Allegany County operations channels.
State Highway Administration Low Band Frequencies Units operating in Allegany County can be attached to Allegany County operations channels.
Maryland State Police Low Band Frequencies Units operating in Allegany County can be attached to Allegany County operations channels.
Department of Natural Resources VHF Frequencies Units operating in Allegany County can be attached to Allegany County operations channels.

 

Alternatively, Allegany County units operating in Garrett County or Washington County may be attached to Garrett County or Washington County operations channels, respectively.
